Last season

The 2nds had several night out, the following is a summary of what happened.

The night out to the Giant's game seemed to go fairly well, auld Vernon enjoyed himself immensely & probably had little voice left in the morning.  "Come on you GIANTS!".  Graeme 'Teddy Sheringham' Carson probably spent as much time at the bar as he did watching the game!  Well done!  Grump of the night was Mark 'I love the club' 'Airshot' 'Scrubber' Lee, "I have no money so I'll drive". Sorry man but that driving s*** just ain't cool!  Although we all appreciated the great free taxi service you provided!  As usual we ended up in The Parlour, where we have ended up so often!  Much alcohol was consumed & everything kinda turns blurry after that!  Although I have had flashbacks of conversations about "what's wrong with hockey in Ulster" & "why I'd never (hic) join Garvey!"

Another occasion a few of you missed was the "Night at the Races" at Shaw's Bridge which Grandad Haydn & 'Tommy Gun' Reid spent lots of time organising!  All was going well until about the 5th race when Frizelle decided he needed more drink!  Recruiting Ricky & Veron, excuses were made to our other halves.....  "Just going to the toilet, back in a mo"  We never reached the toilet - the bar next door was closer & after 3 half pints of Guinness, 3 vodkas, 2 shots & 15 minutes, Ricky received a phone call from a worried Paula, "where are you?".  "Still in the toilet, will be out in a second!"

We stumbled back in to abuse for "leaving us on our own & realised that the 8th and final race had finished!   Oops! This is known as the "2nd XI trip to the toilet" & can be used on any nights out when you have company & do not wish them to know about your alcoholism.

Hopefully a night out will occur at least once a month so everybody can try and get along to one!  They will not be a huge expense each time though it does depend on how many beer tokens you wish to spend!  The bad news is that drinking fines will be in operation during these nights out & will be enforced as long as it is practical to do so!
