Thanks to Tim McLean and Malcolm Guy, I have uploaded some images of 2nd and 3rd XI games that have taken place recently.

Astroturf Pitch!

As some of you may have already read, the club and R.B.A.I. are going to build a water-based astroturf pitch under a joint venture, Inst Hockey Ltd, with a lease agreement from Cooke Rugby & Sports Association and Instonians who own the Shaw's Bridge complex.

The £500,000 contract, which will be managed by Sports Labs from Livingston Scotland, will be awarded to the agreed developer within the next month. The completion date for the pitch will be 1st August 2006.

Both Instonians and R.B.A.I. see this as an exciting development as it will give a home hockey base to both the Club and the School. It will give Instonians Hockey Club its first fully integrated home base since its formation in 1959. It will also be the first time that all three sections of the Instonians Club, Rugby, Cricket and Hockey will share facilities together.

As it will become the home for hockey at R.B.A.I. this should also help the Instonians Club in attracting more of the School players into the Club. Cooke Ladies Hockey Club will also have use of the new facilities and it will be available for hire to other interested hockey clubs.

We are currently in the process of raising funds for the pitch and would call on past and present members or friends of the club to support the project through the purchase of pitch squares @ £50 a square. Acknowledgement will be given on completion of the development on the basis of donations received. Gold £500, Silver £250, Bronze £100.

A Night At The Races

Saturday 25th March 2006 19:00/19:30 to raise funds for European Cup Winners Trophy.

All support will be most welcome.

Club members and friends can support through the purchase of a horse @ £10 or sponsoring a race for £100.

Come and make a night of it and have some fun with your friends.
