Irish Junior Cup

Midleton will not be travelling to Belfast to play our 2nds on Saturday as they cannot field a team due to their local school's requirements for players playing in the Irish Schools Tournament the following week.

Also Jonny O'Callaghan has told me that a pair of shin guards and a fleece were left in Bangor last Saturday. If they are yours, Jonny has them!

Irish Junior Cup - 2nd round draw

After their fine victory over Crossgar the 2nds have been drawn at home against Midleton from Cork in the next round. The Cork men had a bye in the first round. Full details of the draw can be found here.

Their results so far this season have been a 7-2 defeat to Cork C of I 'C' team and a walk over defeat to Galway 'A' team. Based on this, it must represent an excellent opportunity for the 2nds to progress to the third round. Matches to be played on Saturday 21st October 2006.

Pitch Update - 27th September 2006

The pitch is coming on well, as the following photographs show. The carpet has arrived, the pitch is covered in tarmac and the fence almost completed. Work has also started on the new car park at the rear of the pitch.
