Under 11B’s beat Cregagh A’s

The 11B’s put in a great performance to beat Cregagh by 9 runs in their first ever Quoile Cup appearance.

Batting first, the innings was dominated by Ronan Hogg and Charlie O’Connor. Some great hitting by both boys with Ronan in particularly taking advantage of any loose bowling as he managed 9 x 4’s in his knock. Shot selection wasn’t great at times with the other batsmen, so hopefully they can learn from the experience.

The innings closed on 125 all out.

In reply, the Cregagh opening pair looked strong. Watt played the supporting role while Daniel Henry was more aggressive. The pair put their side into a good position with 18 required from the last 2 overs however a great catch by Adam Boyd accounted for Daniel off the bowling of Zach Surphlis. A good last over from Adam secured a fantastic win. Pick of the bowlers were Adam, Charlie, Zack and Lewis Ingram.

Great all-round team effort with a cracking display in the field, which made the difference.

Thanks to Cregagh for hosting us and good luck for the rest of the season
