Under 11A’s reach cup semi final

The boys completed a convincing 10 wicket win against Donacloney at Costa del Shaw’s on Tuesday 26th June.

The opening pair of Max and Ben McCausland started well with Ben claiming a wicket with his second delivery. Michael Hollway continued his good form with the ball, claiming career-best figures of 4 for 1 with a tight 3 over spell. The Donacloney batsmen struggled against our accuracy and with Will Park also claiming a scalp, they were unable to form any meaningful partnerships. Ben Walsh bowled some nicely flighted off-spinners and Luke Crothers claimed a wicket in his run-free spell. Frank Hollway, Matthew McAreavey, James Nelson all bowled tidily without success as the innings came to a close on 48 for 7, with 10 bowlers having bowled. Another top quality fielding performance.

Michael Hollway and Max Willmott set about their run chase confidently, running well and punishing anything loose. The target was reached in under 8 overs to earn a home semi-final berth against Muckamore.

The boys continue to improve each game.

A special mention to our Latte Ladies who impress our visitors with their delicious selection of buns, cakes, pavlovas and drinks!

Thanks to Donacloney for the game and good luck for the rest of the season.
