Many of you will remember the long-standing relationship Instonians had with Glasgow High School and Kelvinside RFC over many years. 

Unfortunately the changes to league structures in Ulster and Scotland resulted in this annual fixture having to be cancelled. 

The great news is that this year the fixture is to be reintroduced and on 18th August Instonians 1st XV will play GHK at Old Anniesland in Glasgow. 

The squad and supporters will be travelling across to Glasgow on Friday 17th returning on 19th. 

Ronnie Gourley, the GHK President, has been in touch and is organising a very special welcome for us, including a formal meal after the game on sat afternoon - a la the pre-professional era. 

I would be delighted if we could be well represented for this match and function and am sending out a special call to all those able, to travel across to represent the club. 

It would be great to get 15-20 ‘supporters/blazers’ to travel. 

As this will be the first formal event of our centenary year, please make the effort and let me know on 07885 918145 as soon as possible to confirm your place.
