Centenary Ball Chosen Charity

The Kevin Bell Repatriation TrustKBRT

Those of you who were able to celebrate Instonians Rugby Centenary Gala Ball in the City Hall on 17th May will know that our chosen charity for the night was the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust. KBRT is a charity which aims to alleviate the financial hardship of bereaved families repatriating the body of loved ones who have died abroad in sudden or tragic circumstances, back to Ireland.

Sadly, the wider Instonians family found themselves in need of KBRT during the past 12 months.

The collection on the night was passed directly to KBRT and we have received the following message from Eithne and Colin Bell founders and Trustees of the KBRT.

Dear David,

It was an honour to be chosen as the beneficiary of Instonians RFC Centenary Gala Ball and to receive the so generous £2,905 and €50 donations from the members and guests.

Thank you also for the awareness which your evening will also have raised for our Trust.

Since Kevin’s death, almost six years ago, we have repatriated over 720 loved ones from all parts of the world to all parts of Ireland. Unfortunately the Instonian family are too aware of this but we are very appreciative of your continuing support.
Please pass on our sincere gratitude to all involved in your wonderful celebrations and continued good luck for the next hundred years!

Sincerely,

Eithne and Colin Bell.

As President, I would like to add my own sincere thanks to all those who so generously donated.

Ps: more details about the Trust can be found on their website - https://kevinbellrepatriationtrust.com/
