Instonians Presidential Team for this year is announced

2018/19 President for the Rugby Centenary Season, David Croft finishes a great year in office.

We thank David for his hard work over the last 3 years which culminated in a magnificent Instonians Rugby Centenary Ball in Belfast City Hall.

Ken Bamford was elected to step up from Senior Vice- President to become the 2019/20 Instonians President and we wish Ken all the best in his year ahead. You can read Ken’s welcoming address on the club website.

Ken is ably supported by Robin McKelvey who was elected Senior Vice-President.

We are delighted to announce that Owen Lambert was elected to the role of Junior Vice President for the 2019/20 season.

Owen first became involved with Instonians when his two sons, Ben and James were playing mini rugby. Starting as an interested parent he soon became convenor. It wasn’t long before he moved on to the under 14s, 16s and 18s. He is now Safeguarding Officer for the club. For the past 5 years he has put on his boots and togs to run the line for the 1st XV

Also a keen cricketer Owen played on the ‘Lads & Dads’ team and now a regular with the Mid Week XI. His wife Jude is manager of the Ladies XI.

In addition to his many talents Owen plays guitar in a local group and has entertained us here at Shaw’s Bridge.

Owen completes the three wise men or three stooges, you decide which!
