1st XV Won 43-3 away to Portadown in the league
The match could not have started any worse, within the first 10 minutes: Portadown opened the scoring with a Penalty Instonians pack lost two of their backrow. The team showed greater spirit and composure to settle things down and go on to win the game against a decent Portadown team.
The win takes the team to the top of the league with one game left in the first half of the season:
Home to Cooke 1st XV Sat 27th November 2.30pm Matches against are close neighbours are always tough and exciting!!
2nd XV Won 33-19 at home to City Of Derry 2nd XV in the league
Matches between these two clubs at any level are always competitive and played in the right spirit. Saturday was no exception, the match was physical and played throughout at a high tempo.
This was in no small way, due to the excellent officiating by referee Nathan Lamont who communicated well throughout and allowed the game to flow. Instonians 2nd XV ran out winners 33 (5 tries) to 19 (3 tries).
3rd XV No game
