The original newsletter contained an anecdotal story which on reflection was inappropriate and has been removed. It was not reflective of the writer nor of the inclusive club we strive to be. We offer our sincere apologies for any offence caused and will learn from this incident.

Recent results / events

Mini Seahorses had coaching at home last Saturday

Under 14 went away to BHS and won with an inexperienced squad 5 tries to 2
This week the return fixture is at home 11 kick off.

1st XV had a tremendous win 54-22 at Enniskillen 1st XV in the league.

Thanks for the great support.

1st XV League Table:

2nd XV lost 14-47 to league leaders Armagh 3rd XV.

At times we competed well but our mistakes were punished.

Nevertheless the improvement in this team’s performance is there for all to see.

U21s won 29-10 at Dungannon in the 1st round of the Club Academy cup.

As the season has gone on Scott Hanley’s squad has got bigger and better.

The aim of U21s Club Academy Rugby is to get people back into Rugby and at Instonians it is really working.

“Here Come the Girls” ladies lunch

Our ‘Here Come the Girls’ ladies lunch at the Club scheduled for Sat 29th Jan has unfortunately been postponed due to Covid restrictions. The Ladies are currently working with the Bar Committee to identify an alternative date. We’ll confirm this asap. 

 

Instonians Communication App

The Instonians Executive Committee have now received the final design proposal for Instonians 1App which will become the communications tool for all on and off pitch details for rugby, cricket and hockey. Development will start early February and is expected to be completed late spring.
