Recent results / events
We don’t really know where to start this week. This year has been about “Instonians getting back to where we belong” Well this week was certainly the first step on that journey. A big ship is a hard thing to turn around, to get back on the right direction. Instonians big ship has been turned and has started its long journey on the right course. It has been turned due to a huge effort by players, coaches, team support staff, sponsors, supporters, family and friends. Massive thank you to you all. The start of a big journey has begun.
Saturday 16th April
Mini section In the morning Instonians and Cooke ran a very successful festival Over 500 kids turned out – unbelievable.
U14s won an exciting games against Carrick
U18s won their Shield Final against Omagh Won 39-29 with 14 players for most of the game. Stevie Lamb and Mark Smith have put together a fine bunch of lads. On Saturday they were rewarded for all their hard work. Well done, they are the future!!

1st XV win 25-21 against Bective RFC and gain promotion to Energia All Ireland League
2 years of hard work came down to a 4 point winning margin, against our good friends from Bective Rangers RFC Sorry that there could only be one winner. I don’t think it has sunk in yet for many of us!! Excellent Match report on club website
2nd XV no game
3rd XV lost narrowly to Ballynahinch 4th XV in their Plate Final Lost 26-31 Words of 3rd XV stalwart Craig Holmes: “Couldn't be prouder of my club than today. Massive congrats to the 1s...words can't describe what it means to be back as a Senior club. But to my favourite rugby team ever...the mighty 3s. Boys, you are legends. What a match. I've never been as proud in defeat as today. You did yourselves and your club so proud. A bunch of legends. Craig”
U21s XV no game but again were present at Dundalk in a loud way!!

With greatest living All Black, Sean Fitzpatrick as guest speaker, we are looking forward to a really exciting event. For the avoidance of any doubt, there is no requirement to arrange a full table. Instonians Communication App The Instonians Executive Committee have now received the final design proposal for Instonians 1App which will become the communications tool for all on and off pitch details for rugby, cricket and hockey. Development will start early February and is expected to be completed late spring.
