U12s – 3 wins at Blitz

Last Friday U12s went to Blitz at Ballynahinch.

Played 3, won 3.

All the teams involved contained a lot of players playing their first ever game of rugby.

U12s - Female

Girls under 12 on Saturday enjoyed a joint session with Cooke.

They have a mini blitz on Saturday 22nd at Civil Service (5pm) with players from Civil Service, Ballymoney Ophir and Cooke

U14s - Win at Newry

Won 17-7 at Newry in their first league game

This week they attend a blitz on Saturday at Academy

U16s lost at Newry

U16 - Joint team with Civil Service & Ards.

Lost at Newry 5-40.

A long term project for all involved.

U18s lost 10-38 at home to Virginia

U18’s continue their joint venture with Belfast Met.

Unfortunately lost to a strong Virginia team

U21s

Lost 5-29 at Donaghadee

First outing of the season

Like last season we start with a small group.

We hope to build on this and improve.

Instonians Communication App

Instonians 1 App

Good communication is the key to success for any relationship, community or organisation.

As Instonians Rugby, Hockey and Cricket Clubs go from strength to strength and as our membership continues to grow, effective communication becomes more and more important.

With an aging website, countless WhatsApps, Facebook pages, email and text message groups at minis, youth, seniors, administrative and non-playing / supporter levels, the Instonians Executive Committee recently took a unanimous decision to modernise our approach to communication for the benefit of all of our members, locally, nationally and internationally.

The concept of Instonians 1 App was born. A single point of truth for anyone interested in Instonians sports.

A project team with representation from each of our sports was formed in September 2021 and spent a number of months mapping out the requirement and specification of what an Instonians App should include.

It was agreed that it should be able to manage all team, player, supporter and administrator requirements. From payment of membership to changes of training times or team selection to promoting club events or real time live reporting of matches with pictures and video. All members will be in complete control and be able to select the type of information they receive whether they’re in Belfast or Brisbane.

Work subsequently began on development of Instonians 1 App in February this year and will be available for download from the App Store in Apple or Android format before the end of September 2022.

Please keep an eye on all the usual contact channels (which will eventually disappear) for final details on when you can download Instonians 1 App.
