The 4th XI failed in their attempt to reach their second successive Minor Qualifying Cup Final. Despite a battling performance they went out at the hands of Academy III at Mallusk by a 3 wlicket margin.

Fullerton Park provided the venue for the 4th XI to claim their first league points of the season. They beat a very youthful Derriaghy IV side on Saturday by a resounding 9 wickets.

After three league defeats the 4th XI finally broke their duck with a good win over CSNI VI in the second round of the Minor Qualifying Cup at Cranmore on Saturday.

The 4th XI were expected to struggle after their unexpected promotion from last year, and so it has turned out as they have lost their opening three league games. But the margins of defeat have been fairly close, so all is not gloom and doom.
