First Win for 3rd XI

2nd June 2013

The third eleven secured their first win of the season on Saturday as they beat Lisburn III by 3wks with two balls to spare. This followed a defeat to Dundrum II on Thursday evening by 7wks in a rearranged fixture. Good innings from Jack Hewlett (44) and Richard McKibbin (35no) failed to prevent the defeat. The thirds had earlier in the season put up a good performance in losing narrowly to Waringstown III in the first round of the Lindsay Minor Cup.

3rd XI Clinch Promotion

3rd September 2012

The 3rd XI clinched promotion from Junior League Section 6 on Friday with a four wicket victory over North Down IV at Comber in a re-arranged match over twenty overs a side. This gives them ten wins and three defeats with one game outstanding. A win in that match would put the team equal on points with current leaders CIYMS III.

Congratulations to captain, Steven McCabe, and his squad for a fine season.

Two Wins in Four Days

The 3rd XI beat Victoria II on Wednesday night and CSNI IV on Saturday to give them four wins out of five in the league.

3rd VIII win against the odds at Muckamore

Despite only having eight players due to last minute cry-offs and call-ups to the 2nd XI, the 3rds recorded an excellent victory against an experienced Muckamore side at Park Hall School.
