Sad passing of Jack Irvine

Jack Irvine passed away in the early hours of Wednesday morning on what was his 84th birthday.

Although not originally an Instonian - Jack played out half for Ballynahinch RFC in the 1950s - he had three sons (John, David and Paul), son in law Jeff Wylie and three grandsons (Jack Irvine, Ben & Adam Wylie) who all represented the Club.

A keen and knowledgeable supporter, he was a familiar sight on the touchline and boundary and was a member of the bridge club for many years.
