Wed 3rd Nov U21s Academy win 38-33 away to Donaghadee U21s Academy Instonians had a last play of the game victory. That says it all about this squad of players. Their coach/manager Scott Hanley came down with “man flu” but Alex Caldwell stepped into the role. With the support of Captain Harry Reid they managed the night and led the team to victory. This U21s section is a return to Instonians this year. Through it and the enthusiasm of Scott Hanley we have players involved in the club that had previously been lost to Rugby. Ulster Rugby confirmed this week that there will definitely be an U21s Academy Cup in Q1 2022, which the team are excited for. But for now they are focussing on their league matches and more player recruitment.

1st XV won 41-12 at home to Dromore 1st XV in the League Another hard fought win against a tough opposition. Keeping the pressure on Clogher Valley. Match report on club website: Next match – 2 weeks’ time: Saturday 20th November Away to Portadown 1st XV in the league Clear you diary and get down to support the team
2nd XV – Conceded the match away to Clogher Valley 2nd XV Unfortunately we could not field a suitable team to play at Clogher Valley 2nd XV. Particularly in the front row we had too many injuries and unavailability’s. Whilst this season the pool of players we have is the best for years, you always need more and we will endeavour to do so. Apologies to Clogher Valley and we will visit them in April to make amends.
