Instonians Newsletter – Tuesday 8th February |
Apologies but it has been two weeks since our last Instonians Newsletter. The new Instonians App to be launched later this year, will make the process of communication easier and so quicker.
Recent results / events Mini Seahorses went to Holywood and had a great time with some great rugby being played. Then last Saturday had coaching at home. Under 12 had training and then last Saturday held an under 12 blitz Two wins from 4 games was a fair result.
Instonians master classes have started; players from all ages but the same position come together on a Wednesday night to do specific drills relevant to their position. Master class no 1 was the scrumhalf position with 1st XV player Ruairi O’Farrell taking the lead. A very well run session was enjoyed by all. Master class no 2 is the Front Row and is being taken by Clem Boyd – wed 9th Feb at 18.30pm
1st XV are in the middle of a 3 week break. Time to rest those injuries and prepare for the remaining league games. Still in contention for the league with 4 games remaining

2nd XV have had one game when they lost 24-34 to Ballyclare 2nd XV in the cup, under lights on wed 26th Jan. The team played extremely well against a side that are league leaders in the league above. Ballyclare were allowed to score too many points when they had the strong wind. But overall it was another encouraging performance.

3rd XV lost 3-13 against Bainbridge 4s. A close high quality game between two good sides.
